Our story

We built this because nobody else did.

Every booking platform our community has been using treats queer performers as a category. We thought we deserved one that treats us as the headliners. So we built it.

Why we started

It started with one bad booking too many.

Anyone who has booked a queer performer — or been one — knows the script. Contracts that live in a Google Doc. Payments that disappear for six weeks. Platforms that take a quiet 22% cut and refuse to mediate when things go wrong.

LGBTalent is our answer to that script. A curated roster, transparent terms, contracts that protect the artist first, and payments that actually clear on time. Built by people who've slept on the floor of a green room and people who've programmed a thousand of them.

"A platform that pays us, protects us, and treats us like headliners. That's the whole job."

What we stand for

Five rules we'll never quietly break.

01 · Principle

Performers come first.

Every product decision starts with: 'does this make the artist's life easier?' If the answer is no, we don't ship it — even if it'd be great for our metrics.

02 · Principle

Transparency is a feature.

No hidden fees, no surprise boosts, no opaque ranking. Every number on the platform is printed on the page that uses it. If something's confusing, that's a bug.

03 · Principle

Curation, not algorithm.

Every artist on the roster is reviewed by a real human on our team. We'd rather have a smaller, great roster than a sprawling, forgettable one.

04 · Principle

Built by, for, with — the community.

Our roadmap is driven by conversations with artists, programmers, and venue owners — not by quarterly investor reviews. We have no investors to review.

05 · Principle

Pride is a year-round job.

Pride month is wonderful. The other eleven months are when our work actually matters — when there's no parade, no sponsor money, and a queer comedian still needs to make rent.

The team

Small, queer-led, and hiring.

We're a small team — and we like it that way. When we grow, the first hires will be across product, design, and trust & safety. If any of those sound like you, say hi.

Open hires

We're looking for product, design, engineering, and trust & safety folks who'd rather build this than another SaaS dashboard.

No formal job descriptions yet — just a short note saying who you are and what you'd want to build. Every email reaches a real person on the team.
