Who can sign up for LGBTalent?
Performers, organizers, and venue programmers within the LGBTQ+ community and our allies. Every new account is reviewed by a real human. Performer profiles get an extra craft check (sample reel, recent shows) so the roster stays curated.
How does a booking actually work?
Search the roster, send a brief to one or three performers, and wait for a quote. Once both sides agree, the contract drafts itself and you countersign electronically. The deposit clears when the contract is signed; the balance releases after the set is marked complete.
How do payments work?
Every payment is secure and automatic. Organizers fund the deposit when the contract is signed; the balance releases to the performer after they mark the set complete. Everything's tracked, receipted, and tax-document-ready. Disputes (rare) go to our trust team for human review.
Do I need a lawyer to use the contracts?
No. Our standard booking contract is written with entertainment-law guidance specifically around queer-performer protections — cancellation, billing, content rights, and dignity clauses are built in. You can edit terms inside the app, and both sides countersign electronically.
Can I cancel a booking after signing?
Cancellation terms are written into every contract, with the standard window being 14 days before the event. Inside that window, scaled cancellation fees protect the artist. Force-majeure clauses cover genuine emergencies on either side.
What if someone behaves badly on the platform?
Email support@lgbtalent.com — reports go straight to the team, no triage layer. Every report is investigated by a real person (never an algorithm). Our trust & safety policies are written with the community and published openly.
I have a feature request — where does it go?
Straight to the team. Email support@lgbtalent.com. We read every message — and our roadmap is shaped by what artists and organizers actually ask for, not by quarterly investor reviews.
Send us a note — we're listening.
Whether it's an urgent booking question, a payment concern, or just a "hey, this could be better" — your message reaches a real teammate.
