Why ACH, not cards
ACH transfers cost a fraction of card processing and don't hit your monthly limit. Booking fees are sometimes thousands of dollars — cards would push the platform fee up sharply. So LGBTalent settles every booking-related payment through ACH.
The only thing you ever need: a US bank account verified through Stripe Financial Connections.
Linking your bank
- Go to Settings → Payment Methods.
- Click Add bank account.
- You'll see a Stripe modal — sign into your bank through their interface. Stripe verifies the account in seconds (no waiting for micro-deposits).
- The bank card shows "Default" and "Stripe verified" when it's ready.
What gets charged
- Deposits (~within seconds of dual-signed contracts)
- Remainders (~5 business days before each event)
- Travel auto-charges (when the travel flow uses your "Paid by organizer" option)
- NSF fee ($30) if a charge returns
Every charge appears under Settings → Payment Methods → History and on the per-booking page.
Common questions
Can I use multiple banks? Yes. The one marked Default handles auto-charges. Others are kept for backup.
Can I pay manually? Yes — turn off Auto-charge on a specific booking, and you'll get a "Pay now" button before each milestone.
A charge failed — what now? Stripe retries automatically (up to 2 retries, 3 business days apart). If all retries fail, a $30 NSF fee is applied and you'll need to re-link the bank. The booking page surfaces this clearly.
