For Performers

Setting up your performer profile

The four things you must complete before you can appear in organizer search results.

Welcome to LGBTalent

Organizers find you through search, so your profile is your storefront. Until four things are complete you stay hidden — this article walks you through each.

What organizers need to see

Go to Profile in the sidebar. The progress bar at the top shows how many of the four required items are still missing.

1. Write a bio (at least 10 characters)

Keep it specific. "House DJ since 2018, residencies in NYC and Berlin" beats "Versatile performer who loves what they do." Organizers skim — lead with what you actually do.

2. Upload an approved profile photo

Click Upload profile picture in the Profile tab. The photo goes into the moderation queue first — admins approve or reject within 24 hours. Photos that show your face clearly and represent you on stage move through fastest.

While pending, the photo is not shown publicly. The previous approved photo (if any) stays live until the new one is approved.

3. Complete your travel profile

Under Profile → Travel, fill in legal name, date of birth, gender, and home city/state. This is required for any booking that involves travel — flights have to match a legal ID. We never show this on the public profile.

4. Connect a payout method (Stripe)

Under Profile → Account, click Connect Stripe Account. Stripe handles KYC and tax forms; your bank lands inside their flow. Once Stripe says "enabled," organizers can pay you. Performers without a connected account can't accept deposits.

"Searchable" — what it means

Once all four are done, the badge under your name flips from "Hidden from search" to "Searchable." From that moment your profile shows up in /organizer/performers results and your Book Me link starts driving real requests.

A note on availability scope

While you're in profile settings, set your Availability scope — Local, Statewide, Nationwide, or Worldwide. Organizers searching outside your scope still see you, but you're de-prioritized. Pick the widest scope you actually accept.
